The umami notes from our shade grown, ceremonial matcha are balanced by the acidity of organic lime, the creaminess of egg white, and a hint of sweetness in this Matcha Sour cocktail, amplified with antioxidants from our Japanese Matcha tonic.
- 2 oz. Japanese Matcha tonic
- 1 oz. gin
- Juice from 1/2 lime (about 1/2 oz.)
- 1/2 oz. simple syrup
- 1 egg white
- Matcha powder, for garnish
Combine Japanese Matcha Tonic, gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white in a cocktail shaker. Cover and dry shake for 15 seconds. Add 2-3 ice cubes, cover again, and shake until chilled (about another 15 seconds). Strain into a coupe or rocks glass. Sprinkle with matcha powder to serve.
